is a coil filled with oil or something ? mine broke and it sounds like its got liquid in it :L

Yes, they're oil filled to aid cooling.

If its oil filled then yes. The oil helps to conduct the heat to the outer casing.
Resin filled coils will not sound like this.

Some coils are liquid filled, yes.... it's oil. there to help dissipate the heat generated in the coil to the outer case.
But if it sounds like it's sloshing around means that air is in there, and oil has escaped... which has probably resulted in your coil failure.

I have seen lots of leaking coils over the years. Usually its most noticeable when people have mounted the coils upside down.
We used to have a lecturer in college that liked to connect a coil to a battery in the corner of the room and leave it. We had to guess how long it would take before it exploded. You would not be able to do that these days. LOL
