Had the car 2 years now and the guy I had it off moulded the wings in with the scuttle and it looked terrible, but I put up with it. I've wanted a f/g front end for a while so I've contemplated cutting the front end off a few times, so yesterday I did :) just under an hour and it was off, after doing this though I found that I need to do more work as the air vent holes are rusting and also the bottom corner of the flitch there is a large hole. Hoping to get it sorted soon, just need a few quid for a welder and new front end......

keep the plate that would be on the drivers side inner wing and put it elsewhere
