So My Mini is going in for a MOT and needs a new wing put on and im trying to keep the cost down as much as possible.

 

im very much a amateur mechanic even if i like to think not! (hence the reason for a new Wing)

 

 

so would anyone be kind enough to just write a simple guide and pictures maybe if anyone has time!

 

 

Also, to get a front wing sprayed, what am i looking at?

its a case of undoing the connections and unblot it, my 11 year old brother could do it! 

 

as for the wing, it will ned blending onto the bonnet and door, £4-500 for a pro body shop

i did think it looked easy just didnt want any problems that i might be able to aviod

If it needs a new wing chances are there is a lot more metalwork to come, the late ones '96 onwards are horrendous for rotting so expect more rust elsewhere

For the alternator, go to post #40 of the thread below. Open the PDF file "Workshop_manual__MPI.pdf" and the alternator replacement is page 331.
