As I am near to the completion (finally) of my rebuild I now have the car off the Jig and back on it's wheels so the Jig is surplus to requirements and I need the space to get my Stag back in the garage to enjoy the summer  :proud:   So I am posting it for sale on here before I list it anywhere else.

This is not the scaffold pole type arrangements and is an extremely well made jig with the corresponding brackets to fit a Mini.

It bolts on at the front through the top sub-frame mounting holes with extra steadying sections through the steering rack holes.

At the rear it mounts via the rear shock mounts and is braced and further bolted to the parcel  against the parcel shelf.

I can't praise this bit of kit enough and it made working on the underside a dream, I even left the car mounted on the jig to paint the majority of the body as it gave easy access at a convenient angle !!

You can lock it in different positions and rotating the shell is easy. Everything is in good condition clean metal not rusty and just the odd bit of overspray as you would expect. It breaks down so easily fits into a decent sized boot.  I bought this fully constructed from the manufacturer not in the kit form where you weld them yourself, the construction of the item is extremely good and thus the safety is first rate.

You can even buy further sections for it to fit other cars I can give you the chaps details for that should you need them.

Collection only as I am not posting this it weighs a fair amount.

I live near Ashby De La Zouch on the Derbyshire Leicestershire border about a mile from the main A42.

Looking for £200 ovno

Will also have a 2 tonne engine crane/lift with the engine balancing and engine load balancer for sale shortly, less than 6 months old want £130 for the lot again this can be broken down for transportation but no delivery. Should be able to let that go in a few weeks if anyone is interested.

PM me for anymore details I will try and pick them up a couple of times a day ;D

Here's a couple of pictures of it in action

I have this jig as well for my car, outstanding. I was going to sell mine but decided to keep for other projects. An amazing piece of kit.

Thanks chaps
I would love to keep it to be perfectly honest .....but as I fancy some nice new wheels and wifey has started to ask how much things are costing ;)
For what it's worth it's the best piece of kit I have bought and after a trip to a and e with bits of metal n my eye from grinding off the sills having the shell upside down to work on was a treat!
Cheers

Really interested in this as it looks like I'm doing a full restoration. :-( looks like it could really help a newbie.

Best thing I ever bought mate

seems a lot of money up front but I took the view after the trip to A&E that there was a greater quality to life than lying on my back in a cold garage grinding and welding trying to avoid the sparks and blobs of hot metal  O_O

The items is still on sale (fleabay item 151057345537) new for £300 plus delivery or £240 plus delivery if you just want to buy the component parts and weld your own together. The mini version is more expensive than some which bolt to the front bumper mounts as we know the mini shell isn't that strong there. So this version includes the specific brackets/fittings to attach to a mini shell.

I bought the fully built version and once the shell was mounted I could take my time doing those horrible jobs like replacing heel boards boot floors and wheel arches.

I would keep it but I have decided to have a break from restoration work and enjoy driving the cars for a few years ........that is until something else tempts me I guess!

Look forward to hearing from you

Regards

Glyn

HI HOW MUCH FOR THE BOTH ITEMS  ,  regards jim

What you doing Thursday fella as its my birthday and well I feel like treating my self. Could do with the engine crane but don't want to step on anyone's ties altho.... ;-)

Hi Jim If someone wants the two I'll let them go for £320 I can't really knock the prices down much further I might as well stick them in the shed and keep them.

This jig is 300 new and the hoist I think was nearly 200 with the engine balancer and it barely has a scratch both items kept inside so not rusty old tat like some I saw for sale when I wanted mine. Can post a picture of the hoist if required it's in a fetching shade of blue ;D

@ Domeo_Jones:   RE the hoist/crane

I am working all day Thursday mate and cant shift the meetings I have although I should e home after 6pm ish

Friday I can be around failing that if you drop a £10 deposit on it via paypal I'll hold on to it for you. As I said it comes with the engine balancer which is money well spent as they are hard to use without this and it makes adjustments easy. You also then have the brackets which attach to the engine etc. for lifting.

In fairness I was hoping to hold on to it till I had fired up the engine so I know I haven't messed anything up. Lord knows I have racked my brains and studied every photograph I took to make sure everything has gone back where it should have !!

PM me and we can swap phone numbers and have a chat  obviously to be fair first people to confirm or stick deposit  down get the items ;D
