We discovered on Friday night that the Vin plate from the engine bay had been stolen out of my gold 86 mayfair auto. The reg plate went missing about 2-3 weeks ago but i thought nothing of it thinking it may have just fallen off. We have assumed that the VIN probably went missing at the same time. The drivers door lock was also popped open and the v5 (which i was sending off to be transfered to my name) was also stolen. I do still have the green slip for the v5 and the police have been notified. The car was located in Fordham Cambridgeshire and it is well known that there are shaddy charecters in the area that swap VIN plates on minis in order to have them shipped to the United States. If anyone happens to hear anything about a mini trying to be sold or registered using C913SRX, please notify myself or Cambridgeshire Police. Thank you.
