What's the best way to hold the CV gaiters on? I've seen some advertised with tie wraps but that looks a bit flimsy. The originals had some sort of metal clip but I don't know what they're called - they're not jubilee clips. Anybody got any suggestions?

Also, whilst I'm changing the boots I thought I'd grease the CV joints themselves - what sort of grease should I use?

Thanks, Paul.

I normally use galvanised locking wire, about 3 full turns, and that works fine on the outer end. On the inner end a tie-wrap works OK.

Thanks all for the replies. I've gone for the stainless steel ones and I've bought some pliers off eBay as per Sonik's posting. They were the things I was thinking about. Now sorted.

Thanks, Paul.
