firstly i want to say thank you to all those that are helping me out with my mini problems, i have just done a massive check of all my mpi and found an awful lot wrong, so far i have completely replaced the rear shocks, wheel bearings and added some fresh new cones, today i was planning on replacing the adjust ride on the FRONT as the thread is completely bent, i started by trying to use the compression tool, and as there is no way into the spring i dont know how to compress it to get it out. This led me to look at the springs and they have completely rotted and need changing asap. To be honest this is the only thing that i overlooked and i glad i have found them.
firstly could someone please shed some light on how i compress the springs to get the adjust ride out,if compression is not a way of doing it, could i just cut the adjust ride out, or is there to much pressure to be abe to do this and be a big no no? i have a fresh set to go in. and also could someone please point me towards the best cones to replace these springs with i have fresh moutlon genuine ones on the rear is cones the best thing to replace again or should i look at springs?
could someone please reply asap as this is my normal driving car and need her on the road asap
all the best and thank you once again
