Hi

This may be a silly quiestion but i'll ask it anyway.   I'm guesing the answer is "either way" but i'd like to do it the best way possible, even if it just comes down to asthetics.

I am fitting new door seals to my MK1 mini.   Where the join is at the bottom where the two ends meet.  Should I join them in the centre of the door opening or in the centre of the crossmember....?

thanks :shy:

derek

I have always seen them joined somewhere near the centre of the door bottom. Maybe not exact centre, as I have never thought to check them for accuracy, and in any case the factory would not have been all that exacting.

Everyone else seems to agree about that, more or less. I would only add that if you join the ends of the rubber with superglue it should prevent a gap developing, which often happens.
