Van's really do seem to fetch a premium these days, so you're unlikely to get great one for around the £3.5k - £4k mark. In my experience mint/show condition vans often go for two, to three times, the amount that am equivalent roundnose saloon model would. So if you've seen a reasonable example for around £4k then it's probably a pretty good buy.

Also be aware that being one of the rarer and more desirable derivatives, vans are one of the most frequently stolen types of classic mini. So if you get one, then make sure you invest in some decent security for it and be very careful about where you leave it too.

That's one of the first things ill be doing font worry about that, any specific areas on a van that I should be looking for other than the normal saloon areas?

Thanks

Check out the back out thoroughly, Estates and Vans rust badly on the rear sides by the arches. It's not uncommon for the rear pillars to be completely detached from the floor. Check my pics for the usual rust spots.

No problem, at least you can get the majority of the panels for a Van should you have a problem.
