I'm ordering a set of these external hinges from Japan and have been offered a slight discount on a batch of four sets.

So they are coming in at £135 a set plus import duty and postage, which will be split between four.

They are supplied unpainted. I can't vouch for their quality but I have seen a set fitted and they looked pretty convincing.

Info here:

I need two more people to order a batch at the reduced price. I'd need the £135 up front via paypal or bank transfer and then the additional duty and postage costs once they arrive and I'll send them out / bring them to a show for you. Ideally I'd like this sorted by the end of the week.

They aren't that great to be honest. You need to really work with them to look decent, and could end up ruining your car. The example photo is terrible in my opinion.

£135 for something that resembles (and probably made from) Mcflurry spoons... Be cheaper to buy a 2nd hand set of metal ones, split them by removing the pin and use those lol

Wouldn't work, they would foul when you open the door

I've seen them in person and they look good. Not asking for opinions, just if anyone's interested in saving some money with a group buy.

looks like they are spring loaded to allow for the miss-alignment.

expensive though

Might be onto something there. A pair of inner mk1/2 a panels is about £35, plus a pair of mk3 a panels, bit of welding, paint etc...

Good on you Stephen for trying to help people and get them a saving on parts they may well want anyway but its a shame that people dont seem to appreciate your efforts.  :(

saw these in mini world mag. plastic with sticky pads on the back. Like the idea but shouldn't they be pennies to buy considering they are plastic?

Yes - two pennies plus a Werther's Original. But the Werther's Original must include a small piece of fluff from being pocket stored with the wrapper semi opened. That way it'll seem more like the one your grandfather would have had. He was a nice chap.
