Hi All,

I am using my mini for Classic Car Racing in South Africa. I have deceide to upgrade from my 1330 to an 1430.  I need tourgue:-)  The racing is not at the level of Miglias, it is racing, but a bit more 'relaxed'.

I am planning to run at about 12:1 compression (max) with my 296 Kent cam.

I have the option for either the Minispares Mega Pistons and machine the top of the pistons, or get the MED Die Cast Omega's with the shortened height at about 100 pounds more ?

The 100 pound question is:  Is that 100 extra pounds worth the money ? I will spent it as i am building a high spec engine, but if it is only going to gove me a few more bhp at 8000rpm +, it might not be worth it and I will rather spend the money elsewehere ........
