hey everyone!
my aunt has just offered to give me her mini, it worked about 2 years ago and has been sitting on her drive ever since. i love mini's but dont know anything about cars. i was just wondering if much could have gone wrong and how easy it would be to fix up?!
thanks!

welcome to tmf. if its free, take it!!! the brakes will probly need looking at, and theres almost definatley going to be some rust, but thats one of the joys of mini ownership!

LOL! All these people saying hi but not many actually answering your question! The main problem will probably be rust if its been outside for those two years! I'd be surprised if the battery is still good. Should be jumpable though. Engine: The clutch may of seized as well as the starter. If you can't turn the engine over by hand (easier with the spark plugs out) then try rocking the car back and forth a bit (if the brakes haven't stuck). Also the petrol in the car will be useless, you'll need to put fresh in the tank, as well as the float on the carb. Theres probably a few things that I've forgot.
If you want any help stick up your location and I'm sure they'll be someone close by!
