My 1275cc auto has too much pressure. I know it runs the samne oil for the gearbox aswell as the engine. Ive checked my oil filter and pressure relief valve, but its just spurted oil everywhere just on tick over! - any suggestions....


also, does anyone know where i can get ANY information on automatic mini's, i.e engine diagrams...etc - they haynes manual is ******* on auto's! and id really like to learn more about mine! - im struggling! thanks

Not a great help but here goes. It does sounds like the pressure relief valve is stuck. Could be your crankcase breathers being blocked not allowing crankcase pressure to escape. Could be a more sinister reason causing crankcase pressure to build up?

Just an FYI, theres a 1275 going for free in the For Sale section at the mo.

Crankcase pressure is not related to oil pressure.

Can't crankcase pressure not leakdown into the gearbox and cause it to become pressurised, pushing oil out of places it shouldn't?
