Sad to say but my golf has to go to a new home.
Its a project and will need to be trailered away as it has no MOT or tax.
Its a 1983 Mk1 Gti Campaign in Lhasa Green....rare colour!!!
Engine is 1800 Gti DX coded engine....numbers matching for the car.
Has all the Campaign extras.....Pirelli P slot wheels, Steel sunroof, Leather steering wheel, Striped seats, spoiler...etc etc.
I've had it for 10+ years and it was my daily driver. Only ever let me down once due to water getting on the fuse board. This was solved by doing some serious welding on the front around the windscreen....a known problem area....can provide photos of this.
The front is all solid....its the back that now needs attention....arches and surrounding area (again...known problem areas!)
I will supply rear arch repair panels aswell as serveral other panels (bonnet, tailgate, rear weel well) to aid in the restoration.
Suspension is Weitec uprated shocks and lowered springs + powerflex bushes all round.
Brakes are standard with Redstuff pads.
K&N Filter
OMP front strut brace
The car comes with a set of winter steel wheels aswell as 4 Pirelli P-slots with the ultra rare original centers.
Have got boxes of spares that will come with the car aswell as a spare engine block and gearbox from a scrapped car i bought many years ago.
Have entire interior with original uncut parcel shelf (again rare!!).
Car should start and run, but has been laid up for a couple of years so may need some help getting onto a trailer. Treat it as a none runner (even though i'm confident it will start with a battery on it.....will update if i get it started)
Photo does flatter the car....the paint isn't really that good (by my standards) and does really need a full respray to make it look 100%....just my opinion.
This is a classic car that needs the attention it deserves.....restored ones go for £7K plus!!!!!!!!! check ebay out.
I'm looking for £1500 with all the parts and spares included. There is easily £700 of spares and panels with the car.....so save yourself the hastle of finding the parts......i've included everything you will need.....just wave a welder and a spray gun at it and you've got yourself a rare and sort after classic.
PM me if you are serious.....no dreamers please.
