Yes. But the engines need to be rotated through the axis of the drive plane.

They will fit if the models I've got of an r1 engine are anything near accurate.

Well I have an R1 engine and can tell you they won't fit

I don't have the model I made to show you. But essentially you need to rotate them into each other at an angle. It also involves a couple of jack-shafts.
