I'm thinking head gasket failure but just wanted to check before I go ahead and change it?
Cheers, Robbie.

Could be from short trips and engine not fully warm to burn off the condensation, do a compression check before taking the head off to confirm to be sure

That is usually a good sign of head gasket!
When it runs with the choke on, does it run smoothly?
The best thing to do it get a compression tester from Halfords for £35. Always handy to have. That will tell you for sure if there's a problem.
At least it's easy to do if you have to change the gasket ![]()

Now you've added a bit more info a compression check will confirm the gasket problem
