as title says pros and cons on the cams , im thinking of using the md296 cam but want to know if its better than the 649 , hillclimb motor,
Also will std 1300 rods that have been lightend and balanced by fine with 1 of these cams

forgot to say , i want to build the best screamer with old parts to be more period if you can understand, yes there is late model stuff out there now but there must also be realy good old technology gear that is still awesome and waaaaay cheaper than the late model stuff, also the old speed techniques of building motors, cooperman you must have a lot of old style ideas

I think its going to be a case of what sort of cam can you get away with on your required gearing.
Id get some more information based upon the tracks you will be running and looking at what sort of speeds racers are getting on exits of corners ect ect.
