Will Rover Mg Zr Seats Fit

ive seen some mg zr half leather seats for £50 inc rears will the fronts ones fit in a mini and still be able to get people in the back?

Provided they tilt forward.. They are pretty wide seats though, so i would have thought itd be tight getting them in.

These were quite close together in my old rover zr thing. Very comfy on long drives (well, they were compared to the cobra monaco s seats i took out, lol) and held me in well during hard cornering.

Yes, yes they do.

 

Mine are fitted in such a way that the driver seat will slide back all the way until it hits the rear seat, the passenger side hits the bin.

This is purely because I need more space in the driver side.

In terms of getting people in the back, there's actually more room than when using normal mini seats because they fold forward from the backrest and not flip up.

 

Make sure they are from a ZR and not a ZT, the saloon models didn't have folding seats.

The rears will also fit with a little jiggery pokery but I'd advise cutting all the backing off as it's bloody heavy!

thats spot on thanks, did you have to modify the frame to fit them or make your own

No worries,

 

They'll go in okay on the original subframes but I found them too high for my liking as the height adjuster (ironically) takes up a lot of space, so chopped them off and used a piece of 90° alloy on some universal runners, thusly:
