on my drive home (the first time driving the mini in the rain) i had set my heater onto 'on' with the switch and onto 'screen' with the lever. it was all going well for 5 minutes then the heater box started choking and making a gurgling noise? assumably this isnt normal? where has it gone wrong? what do i need to do to stop it? will it need replacement parts?

Is this the first time you have used heater, ie pull the heater knob.  It might mean you just need to refill system.

Is the blower working? If you move it to demist, do you get warm air from screen vents?
