Or show people how to steal them and highlight to even more people that they are vulnerable.
Its a no win situation really.

I do hope we aren't going to get a lecture on crime prevention: Krook-loks etc. As Black.Ghost said, most classic car owners will be all to aware of the problem and it doesn't need broadcasting to a wider audience.

Still, the thefts are shocking at the minute, so any potential improvement is good in my eyes.

This is the bit that annoys me, just showing how easy it is, how stupid.
+1 its not the wisest thing to be showing on TV, just going to show more scum how easy it is to do.

Well that's exactly what the programme did! Along with a demo of how easy it is to break into and start a Mini.
Only reason it would seem Police are bothered is because of the one traffic officer who is a Mini enthusiast, so something is happening to solve the crime. Statistics half of the 35 classic Minis stolen since last Sept were in the West Midlands. Same gang identified as responsible for at least 3 using Renault Megane with dodgy no plates. Megane now in hands of Police, so some progress.
Vane glimmer of hope, it happened to MG's some while back and 2 years after the cars were found stored still waiting to be disposed of.
