I heard a while back somewhere that it was possible to use a weber with a turbo, is this possible and how would you go about doing it?

If it's a suck through application any carb can be used. If it's for a blow through setup then the carb must be sealed. As already said the Lotus had sealed Dellortos fitted, a Weber can be sealed in the same way. Though i'm not sure if a kit's available or if it's a DIY job ?

in vizards book theres a pic of a janspeed turbo kit. its a dellorto for a turbo esprit but the system looks like it takes up a lot of room. its in a metro so i dont know if it'd go in a mini.

No, the Janspeed install won't fit straight into the Mini. The downpipe from the Turbo comes out to far against the bulkhead, so you'd need to make a custom job up.
Also the bulkhead box would possibly need to be slightly wider than the usual Weber item, to accomodate the plenum.

Mmmmm .... it won't let me add pictures of my Janspeed motor. Says they're to big, but i've downsized them ? :(

One way would be to put the whole webber inside the airbox , the presure would be the same inside and out then .
