Removing Top Arm Bearings

Hey guys. I'm going to be painting my suspension components soon and I want to replace the needle bearings in the top arms but can't see to get them out.

 

Dyou any of you guys have any tiips to getting these guys out and the new ones back in?

Either use a blind bearing puller kit with slide hammer, or make something to go behind the needle roller and drift them out, the new ones are carefully pressed in

I made a puller out of a penny washer. I cut the washer in half so it would drop in behind the bearing then put a smaller washer in behind. A long bolt (well machine screw technically as it was fully threaded) was put through. Then put a large socket on the other end, another penny washer and a nut. Tighten it all up and the bearing pulls out. It's a bit of a trial and error fiddle but it works.
