HI, I want to buy a gas cap for my mini, but I'm kinda confused... Do I need to buy a Dummy Tank Neck (it's Right Hand but I can't find a Left Hand, will it fit a Left Hand tank too?) for this Gas/Petrol Cap? Oh, With the gas cap it mentions that's it's held on by grub screws, but where do you screw them? Is this the type of thing that will make sense, once it's in front of me?...

The dummy tank neck is not a actually a fuel cap, it's a pretend filler neck to give the illusion that you have an extra left hand tank, as fitted to the Cooper S models. The Aston style cap you mention is essentially a cosmetic surround that fits over the existing standard locking fuel cap and attaches using grub screws that screw into the filler neck . If a new locking fuel cap is actually what you require, then this is what you need. http://www.minispare...45.aspx|Back to

If you buy the Aston flip cap don't forget to put copper paste on the grub screw threads as the quality of the chrome can be a bit dubious and it might be hard to remove the cap in the future.
