hi there i have recently got my hand on a set of metro 4 pot calipers ready to bolt strait onto my mini but im also in the process of buying some new rims but im not sure what size rims i will need to make sure i clear the caliper once bolterd up ? i currently run 6 x 12 revolution rims deep dish.

am i  best of buying 13 inch rims or sticking with my 12 inch rims ?

I was running 12s then switched to 13s with mine, the brakes are better with 12 inch, but i wouldn't say by all that much really.. this is just what i've found though.

my standard 12 inch wheels fitted over mine just fine. try them with your current wheels first though, no need to spend money if its not needed.

Minispares will have what you need, but they're just 8.4" mini disks anyway aren't they? Unless they're metro turbo / vented ones.

Bare in mind that Metros had 12 inch wheels.......

with a very large ET, not all 12" wheels may clear.

What difference would the ET make? clearance would be about the inside diameter of the inside edge of the wheel.

With minspares 4 pots and vented disks (so the same as metro turbo) all the "standard" mini 12" wheels fit fine - minilites, revolutions and 3rd party mini-lite-like wheels. With non-vented 4 pots I'd expect any mini 12" wheel to fit.

If they're metro turbo calipers you will need the drive flanges, and disks and pads, I got it all (plus the alloy calipers) from minispares. So basically everything in this kit apart from the calipers, and the hoses are optional (they are good though): https://www.minispar.../C-AJJ4029.aspx

Even with vented you won't need to worry about wheels I don't think, I've just got standard 12 x 5s on mine.

Oh, and there are these as well: https://www.minispar...s/C-GBD496.aspx though they're probably not needed for the road.
