If thats proper basecoat is requires 2k lacquer over the top once dry, only 2k Paint which is the colour which you mix with hardener is direct gloss.  :highfive:

I'm not sure what you referring to fella. The colour I have is base coat and then a lacquer over the top. Is this what you mean?

There is all diffrent paints I have found. there is cellulose paint and laquar/ clear, also there is 2k that you can either prime as a base coat then gloss colour top coat no need for laquar/clear unless you want to or 2k base/colour coat then 2k laquar/ clear

Your using celly are you not Dave if so ignore the 2k stuff and just continue as you are as you said your doing colour then clear which is how you do celly so I have been told lol

Your understanding is the same as mine fella. I'm using celly which is a base coat colour so needs clear over the top to give the shine as its not in with the base like a flat celly colour would have. Unfortunately I'm a way of from paint as I have so much on I haven't even been in the garage lol how are you getting on fella?

Whilst being on holiday here in sunny lanzarote I have been catching up reading my mini mag/mini world trying to get some decent ideas for engine spec. I was originally going to go 1380 7 port twin weber but the price is horrendous so I'm now leaning more towards 1380 twin SU setup so I don't have to purchase the mega expensive 7 port head.

Does anyone have a decent spec for a fast road 1380 twin SU?

I'm sure you with your vast knowledge could come up with a decent engine spec for me ;-)

Cellulose doesnt need clear, it will just flat and polish up to a shiny finish,
