Hi all,

I want to buy some R-clips to replace the split pins that go through the clevis pins for the brake master cylinder and clutch master cylinder linkages..

I can't find what size I need from anywhere.

Anyone know, so I can buy some on ebay?

Thanks,

Simon

Don't, it's dangerous.  They WILL come out by themselves sooner or later.  Someone on here recently told us all that Rover tried them for a few months, but went back to split pins and issued a service replacement for those that had been made with the R clips in.  The clips had been coming out in use.

It's OK for the clutch as that is not a safety-critical system, but for the brake a split pin is essential.

I'm not sure I would agree with that. Yes it could be argued that the pin could only drop out at rest, but the possibility exists that it could drop out with the clutch depressed.
