As stated ive been doing some research on the net and a lot of Americans are using vinegar and tinfoil to clean there chrome parts. Has anybody tried this method i have rust developing on my bumpers and light housing and thought i may give this a go.

however my concern is the paint work will the vinegar strip paint off

I use cola and foil, you make the foil into a little pad, dip it in the cola and rub your chrome, it comes up a treat!!!
No harm on anything!!
