Fitting A Oil Temp Gauge

I bought a smiths oil temp gauge I just wondered how I fit it please.....is there an adapter like when you fit an oil pressure gauge
Any help appreciated on what I need and where it fits

Fits between the oil filter housing and the block, then just run a wire from the censor to your dial.
Works well as I got one fitted to mine but it take a lot longer for the oil to warm up than the water temp gauge.

Or minis spares do this but you lose the sump magnet as it works out a lot more money when you bought all the bit's, censor, gaskets ect.

This maybe a stupid question but how do I know If the gauge is oil temp or water.... I was just given it so not sure

Generally a smith's gauge for oil will say "oil" and "oC" for temp and "Lb" for pressure and if it a water gauge it say "temp"
