Just finishing my 1275GT and fitting the seam finishers before I put the GT stripes on...

I have bought the mild steel parts (BMP127 x 2, BMP124 & BMP125) and had them sprayed body colour but they seem (did you see what I did there?) a very poor match to the shape of the body!

I was thinking, given that they must be a real rust trap is there a better fitting plastic part available...?

Or do people just use some other trim part...?

Thanks

You can use the plastic trim for the sill seams, of which several kinds are available, black, chrome, thick, thin etc. You will need to use a hot air gun to heat it locally to make the bends near the waistline.

You will likely want it in body colour, so a plastic primer may be needed.

Thanks!

I may try some of that then...

The metal ones seem (I did it again!) to be a stupid idea!

I expect it is the car that has a funny shape - not the trim!
