as above, 

ive took the main earth in the engine bay off and put it back to clear rust,

no voltage at the light switch in the car,
fuses all look fine, replaced a few any way, 

 

no lights front or rear excluding - hazards and indicators work 

heater fans inside the car also work

Its gremlins. I've got then living in my car too.

 

The lights shouldn't be fused. Check battery earth. Do you have 12v at the solenoid measured with your newly cleaned up earth.

sorted the horn i had just knocked its live off, 

where would this solenoid be ? ill check now

sorted now, the wire the solenoid was disregarded when i had issues with the starter
