hi guys, ive searched through here on this section but couldn't find much related to my problem so here goes.

basically working form the tank forward.

fuel delivery is fine its doing a ltr of fuel in just over 30 secs

Regulator has had an inline pressure gauge fitted and was running 3.5 psi on tick over and then goes up steadily when it starts running up on the rolling road.

the timing is at 29' atm,

everything is plumbed into the correct ports on the carb.

its running a thinner needle

standard dash pot spring

its had a full service kit and had been thoroughly stripped and cleaned

ignition is electronic brand new diszzy an coil.

running number 7 spark plugs

k@n filter

when running up on rolling road it seems to last for about a minute and then starves it self as the sniffer goes from 4.something to 0.something  % of co2 and then proceeds to cut out.

the float level has been double checked and everything else seems to be in place when he looked at the carb on the bench.

on idle with the pump OFF it will last for about ten minutes before it dies so theres is fuel in the float chamber.

but as soon as there is any form of driving the fuel supply to the engine fades out. changing the needle to a thinner one did make a little difference in lasting a little longer but it still dies from starvation.

he did want to try and put a larger needle valve in and change the dash pot spring to a green one instead of standard.

ive checked balance pipe and replaced with same diameter hose 6mm. old one was fine but i thought might as well

ive connected a psi gauge to the port that is blanked off which the over run valve would be convected too and i cant seem to get a reading from it as it should be reading 7 or 8 psi.

ive heard about the tee piece you can put in, it was a turbo carb rebuild kit and it should have been the right gasket for the

plenum chamber.

maybe its something to do with the internal flow of presure inside not letting the fuel into the jet. really not to sure, only found out about the gasket the other day and the carb was back on by then but i thought it would be correct as i bought the kit off a guy on here called turbo phil?

anybody got any ideas of what i need to do. should i be getting pressure through this blocked port as im led to believe. an should i run the tee piece?

thanks for any help you can give

scott
