Hi,

Looking to buy some individual taps for cleaning out all the threads on classic Mini block, head and gearbox. I know the vast majority are either UNF or UNC problem is I'm not really sure of the sizes required, any help would much appreciated.

Thanks

Stu

5/16 - 1/4 - 3/8 UNF would be a good start.

You'll probably find you can buy a little set cheaper than individuals with the added bonus that you get a box to keep 'em in

Has everything you may need... with the exception of the crankshaft and sump plug.

Be careful chasing out threads, you don't want to remove any more material than necessary as you may reduce the integrity of the thread.

Many thanks for all the reply's very much appreciated. Will probably by a set sounds like the best option even though I really only need the plug taps.

Cheers
