I've just put a 12G295 head on my 998 and I have a AAU needle in the 1.5" HS4, we need more petrol throughout the rev range apart from idle, because if we wind the jet down a bit, it runs a lot better but doesn't idle
Also, we did not touch the distributor but it is backfiring ocasionally and running on?
Any help appreciated

Forgot to say we've got a smoothed out ram pipe, carburettor and alloy inlet manifold, lcb manifold - (2" at exit) and 2" straight through system

The 2inch exhaust on a 998 is going to cost you a bit of power though, to big for a small bore motor

Thanks very much, I'll try that, is that with the vac pipe conected or disconnected?advance the timing to 16 degree's btdc at 1500rpms.........But listen out for any signs of pinking under load and if it pinks knock it back a little.......
