Depends on the type your thinking of buying, theres two basic designs the standard replacement set ( the gears in the vid are not SC but the same principle) covered in this vid which requires the end float shimming -
or there's the Roller type which can be a little tricky, the MED version costs about £350 http://www.med-engineering.co.uk/catalogue/gearbox-transmission/gear-kits/med-straight-cut-drop-gear-set-roller-type - The MED set up comes with a top-hat and spigot for the rollers to rotate against, here's where it gets tricky, MED suggests heating the alloy tranny case to expand the Idler bearing seat, I had to use a local engineering company to open out the seat and press the Top-hat into place using loctite cost £20.
Points to consider -
Purchase the right set A series or A+
you can change the gear ratio 1:1 etc
Check what primary gear bushes are supplied

What I want to know is when this temporary expedient (straight cut idler gears) is going to be replaced by properly engineered herringbone gears, which will solve the end thrust problem, and run quietly. I don't think you can buy them, yet, but maybe one day....
