Nice and simple one that! :D

Thanks

rubber type is self gripping, usually just taps on and holds firm.

Chrome trim, dont know, i know you need to warm it up to allow it to bend. You might need to use clips as found when attaching the seam covers.

A suitable adhesive such as Sikaflex will do the job if the strip is not self-gripping. (Some are.) There are metal clips available, as used on the vertical seams, these damage the paint and can cause rust.

If you do use adhesive, filling the back of the strip completely will form a good seal and keep water out of the seam. Wipe any ecess off the paintwork while it is still wet!

If you use the clips, GFK7515, which are really best for metal trim, fill the back of the trim with thick Waxoyl to protect the seam from rust. To make Waxoyl thick, leave it in an open container for a while, so some of the solvent evaporates. It is most useful for trim strips when just a bit thicker than LM grease.

thanks guys! Is it worth putting some seam sealer on? The trim are plastic and not self gripping

speaking of the metal vertical ones, on one side it keeps popping off, sometimes stays on for a ages otehr times its constantly poinging off. Need more clips?
