Hello,
I recently purchased my mini one 09 ( I FINALLY have one, after years of waiting!!!) and have noticed there's an icon which appears on the circular display directly behind the steering wheel.
It stays there for a few seconds before disappearing. It is there if I start up the engine and I'm stationary, if I'm driving away, if I'm on my own or with passengers. It seems to me to try and depict two people sitting side-by-side. What do you all think? Any advice as to what it is would be really appreciated! I've attached a picture, but this is my first post to the forum, so please be patient with me if it doesn't work!
Thank you!Attached File  image.jpg   45.18K   84 downloads

Does it bing when this logo comes on? Usually it means no seat belts on, either on the rear or front seat

Hi, thanks for your replies! I don't hear a bing sound, it just stays on for a few seconds and then goes, whether I'm stationary or if I've started to move. Nothing on the rear seats, and either a person or my handbag on the passenger seat haha! I always have my seat belt on, as do any passengers. I think my no-seatbelt sign is orange, I think, and I think that beeps. I can't find anything in my handbook about this icon either!

If you look on mini2.com, that is more for BMW minis and chances are someone will know straight away.

Thank you, I'll have a look! Am I on the wrong forum for my mini? Is this forum more for the original, Italian Job minis?

Before you go, it looks a lot like a brake warning light. It might just be the handbrake, or it could be low fluid, hydraulic failure, pad wear (if Binis have wear indicators?)

OOOOh Ethel, you are awful.

Bini's indeed!

Plus i think the question was about the other part of the display that looks like a couple of people sitting side by side and upside down.

Can i turn my laptop back over now please?

Although this site is primarily for Classic Minis, we welcome BMW mini owners, people without minis who are just interested, and will try and help anyone out!

I read a thread about golf clubs the other day for example!
