Pre-Verto Clutch
Okay, so for the last few weeks i have started to wonder if i need my clutch replacing.
To start off, i understand that wheel spinning isn't something i aim to do, but when i come to pull off fast, my clutch does not immediately engage and does seem to slip, also when changing gears say from 2nd to 3rd, if im trying to get a quick transition, there is a small amount of time where the clutch is not completely engaged and i have to pull of the accelerator for it to engage nicely.
Also, im not sure whether the weather plays a part on this (our hot summer so far!), but after driving for about half an hour, the oil pressure drops slightly, only a fraction, and time to time if i drop the gears and use engine breaking to slow down, the clutch starts to slip after slightly?
This isn't an all time occurrence at the moment, and will accelerate at a nice rate without slipping, but its something that has started to happen more often.
Just want to note that the position of the pedal is in the middle, and has been adjusted to try and change this problem but still the same is happening.
I have wondered if a more powerfull clutch is needed and whether a race clutch is worth it?
Also i have been wondering if its possible to get an oil cooler for the engine and if that could have a difference in the summer?
Thanks for reading and look forward to replies!
Thanks,
Jamie!
