Mini Wheels Rubbing On The Wheel Arches

can anyone help and advise me on this, i have a 1984 austin mini 1984, i have recently changed the shocks abs on all wheels but the rear wheels keep rubbing inside the arch/body , this happens mainly when doing sharp turns left ./ right .. 

 

can you please advise.. the wheels are standard 1984 tyres ..

What size wheels are they?

Can you post a picture of the car parked on the flat?

Has it got hi los?

do you have hi-los,  are the dampers the same as you had before, don't turn so sharply:?

if the back wheels are moving enough to create clearance issues when turning then I would be looking for play in the radius arms or similar as something isnt right, they shouldnt move enough to get clearance issues especially if you are still running the 10 or 12" steels which were standard in 1984 depending on model

I though this but it could be that the wheels are moving up into the body too much as the car transfers load during cornering, rather than the wheels moving sideways into the body. Picture of the car as it sits and possibly pics of any signs of the rubbing i.e paint worn away on the arch would help, as well as info on wheel spec

whats the condition of your cones? have they dropped slightly and if you have hi-lo's you could just raise them a notch or two as a bodge
