I have bought a set of MPi seat belts with the tensioner attached to the front ones and I was hoping someone could give me a bit of info into removing these from the seat belts as I will be fitting them to an older Mini.

Not sure if you are in Eire or NI but in the UK (and I suspect in Eire too) this would be illegal to do unless you were a professional seat belt technician with relevant training and quality checking.  The offence is Interfering With a Safety Belt Installation and it carries a mandatory jail term and large fine.  Altering or repairing seat belts is potentially very dangerous indeed, don't do it.  There are lots of companies out there who can do this kind of work for you if you really need it done, although I can't think why you are using this particular seat belt over another.

My reason for using these belts are that they are the cream coloured ones and they will go better with the light blue seats I am using.I know it is foolhardy to mess about with seat belts but as they are not wired up and never will be I thought there was some way of removing the tensioners rather that have them lying in the companion bins.

It would be better to transfer the webbing to an earlier belt reel.  Contact FDTS in West Byfleet, they can make you whatever belt you want in just about any colour and it doesn't cost all that much, or if you insist could make your reels safe.
