So I now am the owner of a domino pimlico I bought it of my dad!

It's a 1966 988cc donor
Was built in 1987 and the current spec is;

998cc bored to 1041cc
Flat topped pistons
12g295 head
Rim flow valves
Fast road cam
Solid rockers
Duplex timing chain
Lightened flywheel

Will post more update soon

Kerb weight is only 542kg so lighter than the mini also

I was wondering what to do to give it a bit more poke

Also has a mini van diff I think is it worth changing this also

Some other info on the engine I have found out:
It has a piper x magnum 2780r cam
Vs4 valve springs
Cooper s valve retainers
Gas flowed head
32mm inlet
27mm exhaust
Had a 60 thou skim
And has a 10.26.1 compression ratio
And a AIF6 44 carb with bdl needle and red spring

Quick update engine mounts and clutch bell housing off and ready for sandblasting tomorrow .
Engine bay all cleaned up .

Next is to tidy wiring loom and rest of engine and change oil filter from cartridge type to screw on.
And re helicoil sump bung.

update

sump plug has been re helicoiled, clutch casing has been shot blast now got to order gasket set to put back together.

I had something clled a Qpod a while back now that i used to drive and having no doors it reminds me of it haha

Nothing better than a nice breeze running through when its summer............no so great when you get caught out in the rain though >_< but if im telling the truth it did leak when the doors and roof were on too :lol:
