Electronic Ignition Update

It seems that the trigger wheel supplied with the kits does not work. If you fit one of these kits and have a problem, this would be worth checking before you pull your hair out (as I nearly did). The combined rotor/ trigger costs a fiver.

I would tell the supplier of the ignition system if I was you, maybe you have?

I have emailed them again, I did contact them before but got no reply. Its an easy fix for them, they just need to include the combined rotor arm in the kit and job done.

I guess its a batch issue? I've got an accuspark kit (6month old now) and its running fine with the trigger ring and a normal rotor arm.

Quite possibly, the fact that two suppliers have had the same problem would suggest they are getting them from the same wholesaler and then branding them.I guess its a batch issue? I've got an accuspark kit (6month old now) and its running fine with the trigger ring and a normal rotor arm.
Slightly off topic, I noticed when I went on the accuspark website that they have a new programmable module. Any one tried it?

what was the problem?? did the engine not fire up or running weird or rough?? i only ask as i'v got the powerspark kit and its not quite running right and has a bit of a problem with the rain...which is the reason i fitted the kit in the first place!!

Nope,
It looks ok, but there's no load input, so it can't be considered a competitor for the likes of Megajolt, Nodiz...

No, nothing at all. Mine and my mates would just not run at all. I think Paul Colemans was the same. With the new rotor/trigger it fired up instantly and runs perfect, the same on my mates. We swapped back to his trigger wheel and nothing again.

I've had my powerspark electronic ignition system fitted for about 5 months now and I've got a similar issue of slow cranking when trying to start the car (always had this problem since I got it). I assume this is a know issue, if so should I contact powerspark and see if they can solve the issue? Al
