Without removing one of the exhaust valves to see if it has hardened inserts fitted its very hard to tell...

Well that's not very convenient, is it!
If you had the head in your hands would you be able to tell?
I'm thinking of taking it to a nearby mini-guy

Appears to have the larger 35mm inlets - therefore NOT unleaded.... But no matter - just use it!! Why are you worried??

If it is leaded you could always just use lead additive...

Judging by the stampings on the head in the second photo i'd say it's beenn skimmed quite bit ? engine guru's will put me right no doubt haha

You need to give it a good scrub, then push the valves and check the seats, then you'll see whether its unleaded or not.
