Adrian Flux were always good for me when I was that age - they insured me on a 1.9 309 GTi when I was 19 - with 1 years ncb for £900! (in 1998)

I've just insured my 1275gt turbo with them, all mods declared (turbo engine, roll cage, fiesta brakes, wide wheels etc) for £98 fully comp.  There are some benefits for passing the big 3-0....(i.e. being old)  ;)

I'm insured with admiral under a multicar policy for £650, what you want to do is put it as parked on the road, limit your milleage to 6000 per year, have two parents or relatives down as named drivers and make sure you call them to get the 30% classic discount which makes a big difference.

If you're using your ncb on another car (i assume you have 2 cars on the road) definitely go for multi-car insurance, prices seem to go down ALOT
