Jack,

If you are meaning professionally, then it will work something like this - Labour at somewhere around £40-60 per hour, then add consumables - grinding discs, extra steel for bracing, and other repairs as needed, and any paints or sealers as used.

Now, time to do the job.

Assuming the shell is bare, and you really mean a complete floorpan I would say 4 hours to brace the shell around 6 hours to remove the old floor, then around another 6 hours to refit the new floor as an absolute minimum.

So minimum is likely to be about £640 plus consumables, so I would budget for somewhere near a grand!

You may be looking for someone to do it for beer tokens - it is a big job, not really the sort of thing that people would take on on a hobbyist basis unless it was being done on their own car.

You would really be better off spending the cash getting the gear to do the job yourself - a welder and some gas, a grinder and some spotweld drills could be puchased for about £300.

Good luck!

Jack,

Sadly most "professionals" would not touch the job - you would be left with specialist classic car restorers - these are normally stacked out with work years ahead!

As for doing a proper job......

I have seen some shocking "professional" repairs, and there are a number of "specialists" that ought to be ashamed of the work they lob out of the workshop!

The only way you will be sure of a good job is by doing it yourself - there are lots of people here that are excellent fabricators - most of them self taught, and the results in the projects section speak for them selves - take your time, work methodically, and walk away when things go wrong (which they will) the help on here will make the floor replacement a simple job.

Save your cash for other repair work!

i could do it for a very reasonable price if you feel the job is too big for you. I have replaced entire floors before.  http://www.theminifo...ation-resprays/
