How do you separate the window channels from the drop glass? I've got two separate sets of window glass from an '86 and '93 car and the later cars runners are corroded to the point of falling apart!

Also - are the runners handed?

Any help or advice changing these over would be greatly appreciated.

G.

I think you ean this bit and is attached to the glass? they should come off fairly easly if you bend the metal bit just enough to let the rubber off enough to be able to pull them off, try leavering it off at one end then the other end should be easy.

Cheers for the help - I need to MTFU a bit on giving the old ones a good tug/lever off. Guess as it was glass I was deliberatly taking it easy. New channels ordered and old rubbers cleaned up and restored

Yes they are handed, there are two patterns.  One is front left / rear right and the other is rear left / front right.

There are one piece ones available that line up a bit better, not sure if they are genuine parts, but I used them when replacing old single units and they worked fine. The old ones are a bit of a pain to remove.
