Also, I was able to get the left pot out easy but the right one won't budge atall! How can I get this out ?
Thanks

Penetrating fluid and a BFH

Hit it, the same as most CV joints. You need to put a drift against the shoulder of the joint section where it joins the shaft, or given that it's scrap you can drive against any flat surface on it really. If it's firmly corroded on you can prise the end cap off it and drive the shaft out of the joint section with it clamped in a vice or similar.

Prise it out - I used a crowbar...
Be careful not to damage anything on the gearbox...

not to damage anything on the gearbox as in on the outer casing? shall i just get a nice long crowbar or tyre lever and force it out? does it really need a circlip when the new one goes back in because thats what i think its catching on?

Yes, absolutely it does, it's meant to catch. You pop it off with a lever, but must lever against a bolt head and not the casing or it will probably bend.

Far better to drain the oil than to try and hot swap the joints!

Lever it against a bolt head? what on the gearbox? will i need to replace the circlip or can i just leave it without one ? oil is already drained out :)

Yes on the diff side plate. You must fit the circlips. They are round wire clips, not flat type circlips.
