Hi basically 2nd gear troubles from 3rd into 2nd.. as you all no they are common. So my queries are.. any recommendations for rebuilding my gearbox and also looking at final drives. .. got a 1275 carb cooper stg1 dynoed.. question being what would you recommend a good fd ratio to slot in mainly a city driver so acceleration is preferred hardly motorway miles. . Car is running 65bhp atm due for head work and 266 cam cheers

3.44:1 is a good ratio for accleration without making the car a screamer if you need to go on a run,

Does guess works take the gear boxs out or does he just take the boxes on their own?
