Spotted this bini in Carterton Oxfordshire from my hotel room on a scrap heap such a shame

I grew up in cartoon town. I didn't even know there was a scrap heap there (apart from the comp of course )

Is that the new morrisons building site ?

I didn't know there was a hotel in Carterton !!

 

Was only down there a few weeks ago. I'm so out of touch . . . .

No it's new accommodation for RAF Brize Norton and there's not that many cars there so you don't know it's there it could be because it not right in cartoon town not really sure it's exact location I shall looks tomorrow

Ahh, I used to work on camp in EP&R. Some good times there. I'm sure it's changed alot since I left, especially with the Herc's and the new Super Tanker stuff. i was in carterton with my mini a few months ago. Popped in to see my folks on the way to L2B. You don't see many Mini's around Carterton way

Oh cool it's abit noisy with the hercs and c-17 etc flying around and what's EP&R?

EP&R = Engineering, Plans and records. Did all the maintenance records and issue logs raised by the aircrew after sorties. Some good beer calls in that office (above the departure lounge). I was at the christmas beer call one year when they defuelled a VC10 incorrectly and wrote it off. You're probably too young to remeber this but this was the result

 

 

I thought I'd had too much to drink at first when I saw this out the window !!.

 

Anyhow, a bit off topic. I'll stop rambling now

It's a bit weird just spotted a elf or hornet black with a white roof that sounded like it had a Diesel engine in it any on where it was in Carterton
