Have a look at http://www.movielondon.net for some interesting locations, there's also http://www.british-film-locations.com which enables you to search by film or location, and has plenty of classics including everyone's favourite heist caper :)

For such a simple thing as a bar or club or restaurant, most big films would build a set rather than go to a location. Locations cost a fortune and are inconvenient, normally if we go on location for a movie it's either for an exterior or a very specific and elaborate interior. Even then they often get built anyway. Harry Potter built an exact replica of the exterior of Wells Cathedral outside the stages at Leavesden because it was cheaper than going there. For Sherlock 2 they built us a copy of the interior of the Australian Embassy even though we had already shot in the real location, because for some reason they didn't want us blowing the real one up. The posh outdoor restaurant Alfred visits in Dark Night Rises is actually just some steps outside Greenwich Naval Academy. So don't be surprised if the bars you are looking for don't really exist, or look very different in real life than they did in the film. What films and locations specifically did you have in mind? I might know where they are.

im a bit of a film geek too, and i like checking out locations if im in the right area.
i once spent about an hour trying to work out where sandford was in gloucester (the place where "hot fuzz" is set) only to realise its a fictional place (sandford isa used in police training and exams) and is actually filmed in Wells, sommerset.
the interior shots of most of the places in the film are shot elsewhere though, just as Dan said above.

I know quite a few people who worked on all 3 of those Scaffers, I'll see what I can find out. Got any more?

They went to 2 bars for Get Lucky apparently, one is a pub opposite Canada Square in Canary Wharf and the other is a first floor bar at the Trafalgar Square Tavistock Street in Covent Garden.
