Just google 'fasteners' and the nearest town to you and you should be sorted ;-)

Autojumbles and car boot sales, you'll pick up the tools at a fraction of there new price.........

Whilst that may be true to some extent, going to a car boot hoping to find one exact socket is optimistic to say the least and most probably a waste of a good lie in. The likes halfords and machine mart etc are worth a try, but I would give the local fastener supplier a call first. They invariably stock a very good range of sockets, spanners, screwdrivers as customers buying nuts, bolts, screws etc will be missing the right one at some point or other.

I you go to the big auto jumbles, there's usually everything available. As you get a fair few venders selling new stuff thats comparable with machine mart etc.......

Just cheaper........

Go to 'Abbey Power Tools' web site they do an Elora 1.1/8" 1/2" sq. drive socket for under £6-00. Top quality at a good price.

Halfords Professional range are very good, but they don't have everything so sometimes its worth having another couple of ports of call handy. Machine Mart are also good - I needed an E18 star socket and Halfords don't go that big but Machine Mart sold the full set for 3/8" and 1/2" drive for reasonable money. Look around on eBay as well...there are loads of sellers on there selling decent brand tools - usually handy if you are after specific items rather than a full set of sockets/spanners etc
